DON'T WORRY, TOMORROW DOESN'T EXIST

Yesterday, I was worried about what was going to happen today. And today has finally come and I am worried about what will happen tomorrow. I was quite anxious to know if everything I had hoped for would come to pass and if the things I didn’t wish for will pass away.

Why do we worry so much about tomorrow when we cannot guarantee that we will see tomorrow in the first place? We keep worrying about tomorrow like anyone promised us there will be a tomorrow. The only thing that we have ever been guaranteed is now and it is left for us to make the best of it.

Every moment we spend worrying about tomorrow is a moment where we sacrifice the joys of today for the future we may not have. Why worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow can worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own, so seize the moment and enjoy it. Worrying never takes away tomorrow’s troubles, it only takes away today’s peace of mind. If life doesn’t break you today, don’t worry it won’t tomorrow either.

According to George MacDonald. “No man ever sank under the burden of the day. It is when tomorrow’s burden is added to the burden of today that the weight is too much for a man to bear. And the holy book went ahead to say “therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Your guess is as good as mine.

Everything we went through yesterday, everything we are going through today and everything we will go through tomorrow is usually not any better when we worry. So, let us not be anxious about anything for tomorrow is not guaranteed. It doesn't mean that we should not plan at all for the future; but we should ensure we live today to the fullest with little or no interruption from tomorrow. We cannot change the circumstances of tomorrow but we can strengthen our faith to accept it's outcome with joy.

Focus on today and don’t be distracted by tomorrow. Today is full of great promises, so take full advantage of every single bit of it. Live today abundantly, see all there is to see and do all there is to be done. Always end your day on a positive note, no matter how bad things may go. Stay strong things will get better.

Thanks for sharing. I love the part about living in the moment. Worry deprives us of that. Anxiety steals that from us. Wherever you are today, enjoy it to the fullest. You only have today. No one knows tomorrow. Worry is an exercise in futility. It doesn't add anything to you. Rather, it steals your peace of mind and joy in the moment. The day we decide to be joyful, no matter what is happening around us, we will be free to enjoy this thing called life. Don't also forget God created life to be enjoyed, not endured. You follow His commands when you live in joy.
